Australia has deposited $2.6 million into the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that Australia has provided assistance worth $2.6 million to the people of Afghanistan. The agency stated on Friday (7 Cancer) that this amount has been deposited into the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
According to OCHA, Australia has contributed over $75 million Australian dollars to this fund since its establishment.
Additionally, over $70 million has been collected for the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund in the past year.
